It correctly detects when I plug the speakers into any of the pack panel ports but does not detect anything plugged into the front panel ports even after I hooked everything ontel. Most computer cases are wired for an AC97 header.

On the IDT audio control panel you will see that the Audio2 side only has outputs. I tried hooking everything up according to the AC section of this intel document Front Panel Audio Header Pinouts which matches up closer xound the labels printed on the cables Audio is still scratchy but the front line-out port now works and is also scratchy sounding I have tried both audio drivers listed on the intel site as being for AC front panels without success.
